Zephanie Odhene Liwag Dimaranan (born February 14, 2003), known mononymously as Zephanie is a Filipino singer, actress and host. She is known as the winner of the first season of Idol Philippines.

Currently under GMA Network's talent agency Sparkle and being co-managed by Cornerstone Entertaimnent. Zephanie's career started in ABS-CBN before transferring to GMA Network in 2022, following several months of absence from national TV.

Biography[]

Early life and career beginnings[]

Zephanie was born on February 14, 2003, as the third of five kids. At age nine, she began her career as a child actress with a minor role on GMA Network's musical drama Biritera, which she thought it was a singing contest. The following year, she starred in a Christmas episode of Wansapanataym.

In 2015, Zephanie, aged 12, joined the second season of ABS-CBN's talent competition The Voice Kids. She performed "Till I Met You" during the blind auditions, and chose Sarah Geronimo as her coach, but was eliminated in the semifinals. She also joined Tawag ng Tanghalan on It's Showtime in 2018, but lost to Janine Berdin.

Career breakthrough[]

In 2019, Zephanie auditioned for the first season of Idol Philippines. On July 28, 2019, she was hailed as the grand winner of the competition, earning her a recording contract with Star Music. Following her victory, she later become a mainstay on ASAP Natin 'To. Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the shutdown of ABS-CBN, Zephanie was later managed by Cornerstone Entertainment, and later became a cast member on Sunday Noontime Live!

In 2021, following a brief stint in Sunday Noontime Live!, Zephanie made a return to ABS-CBN, appearing on It's Showtime as part of the Hide N' Sing segment, where she promoted her Himig 11th Edition entry "Tinadhana Sa'Yo".

Afterwards, she would become a mainstay again on ASAP Natin 'To for a few months, being a part of New Gen Birit Divas, representing green in the group's segment. However, her time in ASAP was short lived, as she stopped appearing in the show in August 2021.

In September 2021, she was one of the artists selected to be part of the "Now United Bootcamp" in Abu Dhabi. Due to the required quarantine restrictions before the travel, Elha Nympha performed her rendition of "One Day", which is a part of the Marry Me, Marry You soundtrack, interpreted by various Generation Z Kapamilya singers, during the said series' promotion on ASAP Natin 'To.

Following her Now United bootcamp stint and the quarantine period, she later underwent acting workshops under her management, Cornerstone Entertainment, before renewing her contract with the management under their Gen-C event.

Her last TV appearance before her transfer to GMA Network was in Atin Ang Paskong Ito, Kapatid!: The 2021 TV5 Christmas Celebration.

Transfer to GMA Network[]

After 8 months without an appearance on ASAP or any ABS-CBN TV program, following the renewal of her contract with Cornerstone Entertainment in November 2021, Zephanie officially left ABS-CBN and transferred to GMA Network, while remaining co-managed by Cornerstone Entertainment.

Her transfer to GMA became official on March 31, 2022, where she was introduced through a press conference.

In late 2023, Zephanie made her acting debut in Sparkle U, where she stars as Susanne "Sue" Gara.

Diverting into acting[]

In July 2024, she was revealed as part of the upcoming GMA action-drama series, Mga Batang Riles together with Miguel Tanfelix, Raheel Bhyria, Bruce Roeland, Antonio Vinzon and Kokoy de Santos, where she will portray Mutya. Later that month, she appeared as guest role at the GMA historical series Pulang Araw as one of the vaudeville performers.

She was later cast as Zeph Molina in the series MAKA.
