Team Totoo

#TeamTotoo: Panata Kontra-Fake News is an advocacy of GMA Network, Inc. led by GMA Integrated News and GMA Public Affairs.

Inspired by the network's “Panata Kontra-Fake News” campaign, almost 60 partners - including some of the country’s most reputable and prominent media organizations, academic institutions, and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) - heeded the call to be part of the Panata Kontra-Fake News Covenant Signing.

Under the rallying cry, "Magkaisa Tayong Labanan ang Fake," they pledged to uphold a shared responsibility and commitment to combatting fake news and disinformation, standing united in the fight against disinformation.

Following the historic Panata Kontra-Fake News Signing, GMA Network will fire up content to educate Filipinos regarding fake news and encourage them to stand in solidarity against disinformation.

Trivia[]

  • The #TeamTotoo logo is similar to the logo of GMA News and Public Affairs - specifically the one with the "Serbisyong Totoo" tagline.
    • The "#TeamTotoo" text is enclosed with a black box and the "Panata Kontra-Fake News" text is in red color, making a resemblance to the 2002 logo of the former news and public affairs joint division, but only has few differences where a blue circle with a check mark placed on the upper right corner of the black box, and the red text has no blue lines underneath from the "Serbisyong Totoo" tagline.
  • Despite being an anchor of State of the Nation, Atom Araullo is seen with Pia Arcangel representing the Saksi anchors.
