Marissa La Torre-Flores, also known by initials MLF, is a former executive who served as a Senior Vice President (SVP) of what was now GMA Integrated News and GMA Public Affairs.
Flores joined GMA in 1987 as a a researcher for public affairs documentaries and investigative reports. She rose to news chief in 2004.
Under her leadership, GMA News and Public Affairs gained numerous awards through its programs, with four George Foster Peabody Awards (as of 2014). She led GMA’s digital shift with the establishment of GMA News Online in 2007 and GMA News TV in 2011.
Flores retired as SVP of GMA News and Public Affairs on July 1, 2022 and ended her consultancy on October 15 of the same year. Following her retirement and few weeks before the split of GMA News and Public Affairs into two separate divisions, Nessa S. Valdellon became the First Vice President (FVP) of GMA Public Affairs, and Oliver Victor Amoroso, who was then-FVP of GMA Regional TV and Synergy, became the acting head and eventually SVP of GMA Integrated News, both succeeding Flores.
