GMA Prime

GMA Prime (or simply known as Prime), is the primetime program lineup of GMA Network. Originally launched in 2002 as GMA Telebabad, the programming block airs the network's programs ranging from drama series, reality shows like StarStruck and Protegé, Asianovelas under the Heart of Asia block to newscasts like 24 Oras, the network's flagship newscast, and Saksi, the network's longest-running late night newscast, Mondays through Fridays. The lineup also airs fantasy-themed dramas produced by the network such as Mulawin and Encantadia.

Every Monday-Thursday, the lineup also currently airs an Asianovela and every Friday, it currently airs Amazing Earth, the network's original informative program, through the Best Time Ever block. The block also airs the reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition at 10:00 PM. The block was later relaunched as GMA Prime in January 2024.

Trivia

  • The 23 August 2010 broadcast of 24 Oras took up the 8:00pm to 9:30pm timeslots of GMA's primetime block due to the live coverage of the Manila hostage crisis.
    • Not only GMA's primetime programming got affected; other TV networks/channels including the rival networks ABS-CBN and TV5 got hit as well, with only one Primetime Bida teleserye shown after TV Patrol then followed again by the special edition of TV Patrol regarding the hostage crisis. Meanwhile, TV5's Aksyon was extended as well to the limited maximum in order to allow the rest of PrimeTimes 5 and 5Max Movies to continue as progressed.
