Trivia[]
This marks the final Eleksyon coverage under GMA News and Public Affairs prior to it's eventual split into GMA Integrated News and GMA Public Affairs.
It also marks the final Eleksyon coverage under Marissa Flores before retiring as SVP of the news and public affairs division months later.
The election coverage marks as one of the last notable appearances of Mike Enriquez prior to his death a year later on August 29, 2023.
Also on the Eleksyon 2022 broadcast of 24 Oras, Enriquez was saying "Mga Kapuso, uuwi na po ako", though it was actually derived from a tweet of Panfilo Lacson, Jr. on Twitter where a part of his tweet says "uuwi na po ako", but Enriquez's brief-long pause between "uuwi na po ako" and "yan ang tweet ni" made look like Enriquez addressing the viewers that he himself is going home, hence "Mga Kapuso, uuwi na po ako". It eventually lands the whole meaning following his death.
Closing spiel incident[]
On May 10, 2022, Jessica Soho, Mel Tiangco, and Mike Enriquez delivered the closing spiels for Eleksyon 2022. Soho was saying: "Patuloy po ninyong maaasahan ang GMA News and Public Affairs sa paghahatid ng Serbisyong Totoo na walang kinikilingan." Tiangco then followed by saying: "At walang pinoprotektahan." Just as Enriquez began to deliver his line, Tiangco said, "Ako po si Mel Tiangco". Enriquez then delivered his closing spiels as normal, then ended with Soho's closing lines. Netizens noticed the absence of the phrase "Walang kasinungalingan", which may have been removed or absent on the script. GMA News later explained that this was caused by a production glitch, and is not Tiangco's fault.
