ABS-CBN is a Philippine media production company (as ABS-CBN Studios) and formerly a commercial broadcast television network owned and operated by ABS-CBN Corporation.
The company also owns and operates Kapamilya Channel, a 24-hour cable and satellite channel launched in 2020 that serves as a successor to the former ABS-CBN terrestrial network, which was shut down earlier that year due to the expiration of its legislative franchise.
As a rival network to GMA Network, ABS-CBN, as a free-to-air network until May 5, 2020, mainly competes with GMA in terms of daily ratings. In 2022, ABS-CBN and GMA signed a historic deal to allow Star Cinema-produced films to be broadcast on GMA Network. The two networks collaborated in the drama series Unbreak My Heart in 2023. In June 2023 and March 2024, both networks signed again, this time allowing ABS-CBN's noontime variety show It's Showtime to air on GTV and GMA, respectively. In January 2025, both networks signed yet another deal for their collaboration on Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition Collab.
