24 Oras Weekend is the weekend edition of 24 Oras that began on February 21, 2010. It airs worldwide on GMA Pinoy TV. The show is the network's longest-running weekend newscast.

History

Before the launch of the weekend edition 24 Oras occasionally appeared on weekends during special coverages (e.g., typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng, and the Maguindanao massacre) and the weekend before the elections instead of airing GMA Weekend Report or GMA Flash Report Special Edition from 2004−2007 which were also anchored by Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco (So have been called Tutok: Eleksyon 2004/2007. The two also appeared in Sunday edition before the 2010 and 2022 elections). Notable guest anchors (once appeared) for the special edition were 24 Oras anchors Emil Sumangil and Vicky Morales.

On February 21, 2010, the weekend edition of 24 Oras at 6:00pm was launched. Then-Balitanghali and anchor Pia Arcangel and Reporter's Notebook host Jiggy Manicad were the anchors of weekend edition.

On April 21, 2018, Manicad announced that he left for 24 Oras Weekend as well as his other programs on GMA amid reports that he is considering to run for senator in the 2019 elections, leaving Arcangel as the only weekend anchor for the newscast.

In August 2018, as part of GMA Integrated News shakeup, Unang Hirit host Ivan Mayrina was appointed as co-anchor replacing Manicad.
