Explainer: ABS-CBN and GMA were involved in a ratings dispute in 2007-08. During the entire run of the ABS-CBN/Kapamilya Channel drama series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, which aired after TV Patrol, its ratings outperformed GMA's drama series that aired after 24 Oras. In 2022, ABS-CBN and GMA signed an agreement to license Star Cinema films to GMA for broadcast. Both parties signed again to allow It's Showtime to air on GTV and later GMA. The GMA telecast replaced the timeslot long-occupied by Eat Bulaga!, which now airs on TV5. More recently, ABS-CBN and GMA signed a contract to co-produce Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition on GMA.

As we close out 2024 on a positive note, we would like to thank everyone for your contributions to the GMA Network Wiki. I would like to thank each of you all for helping the wiki grow from 100 articles to 1,000 articles in under a year. And I am also proud of the wiki now having over 15,000 edits and counting. Special thanks to our newcomers @Tvelasco577 and @BellaMacalintal for helping us make this possible
Looking forward to 2025, we will continue to focus on our aim to become a more comprehensive and accurate wiki about GMA Network that anyone can edit, including you! We will add more policies for every user to understand before and while editing on the wiki. Also, 2025 is going to be a big year for GMA Network as the network will celebrate its 75th anniversary, you can help us too in making this a meaningful community and celebrate this special milestone with us, as well.
Before I conclude, I would like to announce the good news that @Andreijoseph, our content moderator on the wiki for several months, has done a good job as a moderator, and now, I would like to welcome him to the administration team. We wish them a good luck as they embark on a new chapter as a wiki administrator.
